Frequently asked

What driver's licence do I need to qualify?▾
You must hold a valid South African driver's licence — Code 8, Code 10 (C1), or the relevant code for the vehicle you drive professionally.
How long does the Testing Centre appointment take?▾
Keep 1 to 3 hours open on the day. Your PrDP card will be ready to collect in approximately 4–6 weeks from the Testing Centre.
Can I get a temporary PrDP while waiting for my card?▾
Yes. Once your police clearance comes through (usually about 2 weeks after your appointment), you may apply for a temporary PrDP yourself. We don't handle this step but can advise you.
Do you collect outside Centurion?▾
We collect within Centurion and surrounding areas. If you are further out, contact us first and we can discuss options.
Do I need to bring money or a bank card on the day?▾
No. All Testing Centre fees are included in your R1700. You do not need to make any payments at the Testing Centre on the day. Just bring your ID, optometrist eye test and 2 ID photos.
I'm not a South African citizen — can I still apply?▾
Yes, but you must provide your TRN (Traffic Register Number). Please contact us before registering so we can confirm your document requirements.
When do I pay the R1700?▾
Pay via EFT before submitting your registration. Use your name and surname as the payment reference. Once we receive your form and proof of payment, we'll contact you to confirm your appointment.
